Blog 10: A Semester in Review

Somehow the weeks from September to December managed to fly by in a blink as the semester is coming to an end. Having gotten a taste of marketing through my internship at A Bride's Day, a wedding photography/videography company, this past summer, I was able to learn more into the field during this class which I plan to take into internships I am hoping to have this upcoming summer. This course had many aspects to it that helped us not only learn the different parts to marketing, but also take the textbook terms and examples and apply them to everyday life.

We started off by looking at marketing on a broader scale. Looking at the 4 P's (product, price, promotion, place) and what marketing was in general. Marketing, being the 


"...activity for creating, communicating, delivery, and exchanging offerings that benefits its customers, the organization, its stakeholders and society at large." (Kerin 5)

it has a way to reaching out to its consumers through strategic plans and actions. We looked into all the components that both make up but also challenge a marketing strategy. I liked how the class spent a whole week on a chapter which made it very organized and easy to follow along. In class we had weekly chapters, keeping updated with this blog, and multiple presentations. The presentations, particularly the ones we did on advertisements were my favorite part of the class I felt. This was because it allowed you to get creative and the ads I chose I particularly found interesting. As I mentioned in a previous blog post, the MasterCard #OneMoreDay campaign released their commercials for the deals to market toward parents to take their paid vacation days to spend time on vacations with their families. It was a creative in the way they advertised using a commercial of children talking and their strong presence of the campaign on social media. They had a strong use of marketing segmentation which is

"...involving aggregating prospective buyers into groups that both have common needs and will respond similarly to a marketing action."

They do this by segmenting the market of parents and families who they specifically aim at as their target market. They offer sweepstakes and offers as part of the campaign giving the target market incentive to participate. For more on the campaign check out their website at MasterCard #OneMoreDay "Priceless". Another part of the class this semester was working in groups for a Marketing Simulation where we created a backpack we worked on branding and selling to a specific target market throughout the semester. My group was "Yik Yak Backpacks" where our mission was to: 

“The mission of YikYak Backpacks, is to provide affordable, high quality backpacks to children and young adults while satisfying the needs of the community at large. We  also strive to take care of employees by providing equal benefits and above average return to stockholders. Our objectives included providing a product that was simple, classic, colorful, yet affordable that appealed to both genders and a variety of demographics.”


Even though this was not my favorite part to the semester, I had a great group where we worked on trying to change and advertise our product to satisfy our target market's wants and needs. We did this through looking at our finances and advertising, budgeting and pricing. Our original penetration pricing strategy, which is when you set an initial low price to draw in consumers, we changed but then later changed back to after realizing our target market was to be for children. It was a different kind of assignment for a class that tied in all the elements of the class together.

The main part that I enjoyed about the class was getting to look at real life examples to apply to the different marketing concepts we were learning and looking into household name companies in a different light. For example, Apple was used as an example multiple times for the way they customize their products for their consumers. Also we looked at their skimming pricing strategy, which is when a company sets an initial high price that desiring customers would be willing to pay. How is this successful for them even though it could be expensive for the consumer? This is because of their marketing strategy and timing of releasing new products. I referenced Apple in previous blog posts, especially in Blog 8: Apple Profile where I talked about their success in having multiple product lines within their company which also helps generate profit. This included their line of music players called IPods, their cell phones IPhones, and their Mac laptop line. Comparing Apple and other businesses helped in connecting all the topics, terms and concepts discussed in class to everyday life. 

I enjoyed getting to take marketing this semester as it pertains to the field I am hoping to go into after college. As I said earlier on, I am hoping to work in the wedding industry with events and public relations. Since I am a business minor I thought taking the marketing class over finances would be more relevant and would let me get the most out of my minor. I am glad I took the class and was able to get the background I could in the aspect of business.

Blog 9 The Method Behind the Madness: Pricing

Walking through the stores in the mall you get a mix of emotions looking at the price tags in the different stores. Its a mix of sticker shock and then moments of success when you feel you have found a deal. You can't help but wonder, how does the store and brand determine the cost of their products? How did they manage to figure out how to calculate the number on that sticker? Well for the organization and brand to start determining this, they look at four approaches they can take to figuring out this price level. They can do this by looking at:

    1. Demand        
    2. Cost
    3. Profit
    4. Competition

Looking at demand pricing tactics, this is when a company looks at the numbers and response from consumers. There are a few typed of demand pricing strategies that could be used.

The first is skimming pricing. This is done by setting an initial high price that desiring customers would be willing to pay. This pricing is possible if:
  1. There is a demand there tends to be success
  2. Enough prospective customers are willing to immediately buy
  3. An initial high price that doesn't attract competitors
  4. In lowering the price it has minor effect on sales volume
  5. Customers interpret high price as high quality
An example of skimming price would be that of new technologies that hit the market. At the time of their immediate release such as the release of a new laptop or television by certain brands, the price is higher due to the updated new technologies it contains. This differs from penetration pricing, which is the setting of an initial low price to appeal to mass markets. This is done if: 
  1. Many segments of the market are price sensitive
  2.  Setting a lower price damages competitors 
  3.  Unit production and marketing costs decrease dramatically due to sales

In demand oriented approaches, there are factors such as tastes and preferences that customers have which companies and brands keep in mind while setting their pricing strategies. Seen in all these pricing strategies, this also includes prestige pricing, which is when the prices are set at a higher bar. Then there is odd even pricing which is when a certain price is set a few dollars or cents around the set price. An example of this is the $19.99 price instead of $20.00 you may see in stores. In addition there is bundle pricing which is when companies bundle together different products to make them one single price. Examples of this would be some technological bundles like cell phones. One other type of demand pricing, yield management pricing, This is a strategy of changing different prices to maximize revenues, say the different types of tickets you can buy for a flight in an airplane such as economy or first class. 

There are different pricing strategies for cost, profit and competition oriented pricing approaches. Those are applicable to other situations, but for the purposes of this holiday season and the high demand that comes with this time of year, these are some of the pricing strategies that can most likely be seen in the products around you as you walk through the mall this December.

Blog 8: Apple Profile

By now the brand "Apple" has been coined as far more than a household name. The famous technology brand has expanded its business globally and can be seen everywhere through different technological advances. Walking around you can easily see people on their iPhone's checking on social media, people running listening to their music through their iPod and studies coffee-shop goers searching the Internet on their Mac computers. Now what make a company such as Apple so successful? Well its simple to say that there are more reasons than one. 

One of the main successes of Apple is their product line. A product line is a collection of products that a company sells. They are not all the same but are made by the same company so they target multiple markets with these different products. The main Apple products include: 

The iPhone:

iPhone 6
iPhone 5

iPhone 5C
The iPhone has come a long way since its creation. These models above are some of the latest iPhones which are updates from the older 4 and 4S. There is also an iPhone 6 plus which is much larger in size and is the newest version of the phone. Consumers can access the Internet, phone, video chatting, social media, endless apps and music on their IPhone. iPhones constantly come out with updates and new models are released in incremented time. 

The iPod:

iPod Nano
iPod Shuffle


The iPod remains a popular product and all of these models are upgrades from the older models of music player. The Touch being similar to an iPhone, the shuffle mainly just picking your songs at random and the Nano a little in between the two, similarly to the iPhone all of these technologies plug into your computer where you can download music and apps from you iTunes Library.                                                 
Computer/Tablet:

Mac Computer, MacBook Laptop and MacBook Air

These are the computers to the Apple brand, both handheld and desktop computers that cater to different consumer needs. This includes the tablets to the left and then the computers to the right which can be targeted at many consumer markets such as students, families, business workers and many others. 

A interesting point about the Apple brand is that they not only have a single product line of their phones, music players, tablets and computers but they have product lines within their product lines. This is how they are able to customize their product to the consumer based on the different products and options they have available on the market. What you can also see is how sometimes they make their products particularly their computers built-to order, which is a type of manufacturing where you create a product only when there is an order from a customer. You may see a MacBook in a store but you do not end up buying that exact one in the store, you order it and it is delivered at a later date with aspects that fit your needs. 

In addition, with all the Apple products there are complimentary accessories that come with it such as particular chargers and headphones. These products come from a derived demand which is when the sales of a product frequently result (or are derived) from the sale of consumer products. Usually this refers to business products but in this case the accessory products are needed in order to allow the technology to work and function properly. Overall the demand and appeal of the Apple products prove to attribute to the company's success. Apple is a brand and company that even though has created so much, still has much in the works.

Blog 7: Deals, for You or for Them?

Its Christmas time and you want to hit the mall for the best products and deals to get all the gifts you need to put under the tree. You walk through stores such as Macy's, Famous Footwear, American Eagle and Bath & Body Works to get everyone in your family what they wanted on their wishlist. The deals are to the ceiling, Two for One! Buy one get one 50% off! 30% off when you buy Two or more! Buy Two get One FREE! There is not one thing about those discount signs that isn't attracting to the consumer eye. Why do you think Black Friday has basically become its own holiday in the United States? Consumers love deals. Consumers love getting good products at a good price. So how do companies create these deals while also being able to benefit from them themselves? Of course, its all one big plan.

It all starts with pricing. Pricing is the money or considerations (including other products and services) exchanged for the ownership or use of a product or service. Pricing is a very important component in the process of a company putting a product out on the market. It impacts all the financials of the company as well as the overall profit it will have. With this in consideration, why would a company want to have sales? Well sales draw in the consumer. To see that they can get the products they want at a deal rather than paying the regular set price is something that could win them over. There are a few ways that sales still draw the consumer in, but remain mainly benefiting the company's sales. These include:

Flash Sales - These are sales on items that cut the price for only a few hours, leaving consumers to make a decision on the spot and not enough allotted time to calculate the math.
Shortcuts - By having these sales, especially those say on Black Friday where those sales are a one time deal, many consumers feel they can do shortcut math to see if the deals are worth it. Sometimes that works but for the most part those calculations are a bit more complicated than that and are planned out by the company who put them up. 
Discounts on Discounts - They are far less fair than they appear. Discounts on top of one another may look like a huge save but sometimes might not exactly equal to add up as much as the consumer thinks. This is because each following discount is taken off at a lower price base.
What They Don't Necessarily Need - Offering "good deals" on items that a consumer might want, but might not necessarily need would feed into their want to buy the product. By having these deals it opens up what the consumer thinks is an opportunity for a bargain on something they want, but don't really need over other things. 

In stores such as Macy's and Famous Footwear, multiple brands are showcased within the store and certain sales tactics can draw in those consumers who have loyalty to those brands in the store. This goes for stores like American Eagle also who have a popular target market and cater their sales to the needs of that target market that is loyal to their brands. All of this is interesting to look at because at the end of the day, no matter what the price, it is all strategically planned to go back to what will be profitable for the company. 

Blog 6: Crocs and Fads in the Product Life Cycle

During the fad which launched in 2006, did you ever own a pair of Crocs? These fad fashion shoes hit the market with some doubts and low hopes. To many’s surprise the shoe company was able to profit sales and grow through the following year by reaching a peak at $847 million in 2007. Now a fad product is a bit different than a fashion product. A fashion product is one that is ever changing is goes with the style of the time. An example of this would be jeans and the different styles they have taken over time. A fad product is one that has a shorter product life cycle that that of a fashion product and is popular for a specific amount of time. Crocs are a perfect example of a fad product. For a little synopsis on the company, Crocs is:  

"Crocs offers several distinct shoe collections with more than 300 four-season footwear styles. All Crocs shoes feature "Croslite" material a proprietary, revolutionary technology that gives each pair of shoes the soft, comfortable, lightweight and odor-resistant qualities that Crocs fans know and love. Since 2002, Crocs has sold more than 200 million pairs of shoes in more than 90 countries around the world. " - (via)

A company that had popularity in the mid 2000's, Crocs have dwindled down in the market and are looking to re brand their product since their own famous rubber shoes have gone through the product life cycle. You are probably wondering what the product life cycle is, and this post is here to explain that. The product life cycle consists of the stages a new product goes through in the marketplace. There are four steps to this process:

1. Introduction: For Crocs, the introduction of their infamous rubber clog-type shoes was prior to and during 2006. Without any products too similar to it, Crocs came onto the market as it own against some speculation that the company would not be successful. During this stage also puts the product out there and usually creates competition through actions such as implementing a skimming strategy. This is when a company goes about setting a high price to cover the cost of making the product. 

2. Growth: From 2006 to 2007, the growth period of the shoe was at a high peak, the "fad" element of the product was more than prominent. There are some components to the growth stage which Crocs hit when they first came out. Their sales grew rapidly as you could see through the profit, and this resulted in more competitors including knock-off Crocs. There were also little widgets you could design your Crocs with which was popular for their child market. 

1. Rapid Sales Growth
2. More Competitors
3. Repeat Purchasers
4. New Features
5. Broad Distribution


3. Maturity: This stage followed not too far after the growth stage for Crocs because their fad lasted only so long. This stage is where profits start to decline and sales slow. The shoes have been popular and began to prove their were more of a fad product as opposed to a fashion product with a longer life cycle.

4. Decline: The decline of a product in the product life cycle consists of sales dropping and environmental change occurring such as society's changing favors and likes of products. Fad product have a quicker time frame which is what happened to Crocs. 

Even though a fad product and having a shorter product life cycle, Crocs is still innovating and refashioning their product to try and satisfy new markets. Looking on their site you can see all the different products they have developed. They also have Crocs Cares. This is the platform of the company’s overall Corporate Social Responsibility program which provides shoes to families and children around the world. Their mission is to: 

"...promote health and education by providing happy and healthy feet around the world."

With this program and its new innovations, you can see that Crocs is a respectful and quality company that is trying to keep their name on the market and cater their company to the needs of the masses. Their aim of transitioning from having a fad product to creating a fashion product is still in the works with much to come. Blog 5: Segmentation and Success

How does one company go about segmenting its markets efficiently to make the most profits? While satisfying their target market? They do this by aiming to satisfy the right amount of target markets while not exhausting their spending. By definition segmenting is:

“Aggregating prospective buyers into groups that have common needs and will respond similarly to a marketing action.”(Kerin, 220).

There are five key steps in which a company does this:
  1. Group potential buyers into segments
  2. Group products to be sold into categories
  3. Develop market products to be sold in categories
  4. Select target markets
  5. Take marketing actions to reach target markets


By taking these key steps, a company can organize their tactics to hit more than one target market without it being too costly. There are some examples of this through the ownership of multiple entities. Main examples of this would be larger companies that own multiple stores/chains. The way this works is the segment a certain one of the stores to match a certain target market.

The first example would be the Gap – Old Navy – Banana Republic relationship by the company Gap Inc.. Old Navy sells clothing at a much cheaper price that targets all ages from kids to adults. Gap on the other hand is a little bit more pricey than Old Navy and has two sections, Gap baby and regular Gap where they cater more clothes to a similar target market as Old Navy. On the other hand Banana Republic mainly caters to women and has clothing that is priced higher, also catering more business and fashion-wear clothes. The three stores cater to similar but different markets that also cater to different economic levels. These are the main three that Gap Inc.  as well as smaller brands such as Piperlime (online boutique), Athleta (exercise gear) and Intermix (sought out designer style). These last three are for the most part only available online while the first three cater to both physical stores and the online market.

Another example is within say Wendy’s and other fast food competitors. They may not own similar chains, but they cater their products to different markets. Their goals as a company are:

“When everyday people sort through all the ‘spin’ there is one quick-service restaurant that is ‘A Cut Above’… that’s Wendy’s … we stand for honest food … higher quality, fresh, wholesome food … prepared when you order it … prepared by Wendy’s kind of people … people that believe this is My Wendy’s … we do it Dave’s Way … we don’t cut corners.” (via).

Wendy’s does this from the variety of options they have on their menu targeting multiple markets. They have the meals for daytime lunch meals, breakfast meals, and also dinner. There is also a section for night commuters and the fast food restaurant through its extensive menu is able to target multiple markets. They did this not just through segmenting their target markets but by doing that through what they serve on the menu. Other fast food restaurants such as McDonald’s and Burger King have similar strategies as well.

In both these examples, you can see through different segmenting tactics both companies were able to segment their target markets and cater to multiple markets in effective ways. Sometimes targeting multiple markets can become expensive and consuming, but when gone about efficiently it creates successful results. 

Blog Post 4: Marketing Research with MasterCard #OneMoreDay

What could be the most effective way to improve your marketing strategy? Well, a strong start would be through researching and talking to the target market themselves. Marketing research not only provides feedback for an organization or business but also gives them insight on how to best accommodate their target market. By definition Marketing Research is

“…the process of defying a marketing problem and opportunity, systematically collecting and analyzing information and recommending actions.” (Kerin, 192)

This past week in class I gave my two ad presentations during class which by chance were both centered on families. The first ad I presented on was on the recent MasterCard campaign #OneMoreDay. The campaign was created by the household credit card name MasterCard to push parents to take that unused paid vacation day and spend it with their family. A statistic in the campaign says that more than 400 million paid vacation days go unused each year. MasterCard is telling its target market to take that one more day of vacation because one more day is “priceless”. So how do you think MasterCard was able to go about seeing what they could do to reach their consumers? They did this by following the steps of the Marketing Research Approach:
  1. Define the Problem – The problem is that MasterCard wants to expand its reach by creating a campaign that markets to their target market to use more of their paid vacation days with their MasterCard credit card.
  2. Develop the Research Plan – How MasterCard went about this we do not exactly know, but they went about looking at the psycho-graphics and behavior of those who neglected to use all of their unpaid vacation days.
  3.  Collect Relevant Information – By taking the research plan to action and collecting all the information from research and statistics, MasterCard could take the next step in figuring out how to create the campaign.
  4.  Develop Findings – They saw the large statistic of unpaid vacation days and from this the campaign set its basis. By researching their target market and being creative in their marketing strategy, the campaign developed its findings to help market that parents and families can take that one more day of their paid vacation time.
  5. Take Marketing Actions –MasterCard took its marketing actions through many different forums such as a website, hashtag #OneMoreDay, a sweepstakes #OneMoreDaySweeps and commercials.

The campaign came out with some effective ads featuring humorous kids informing parents about why they should go on longer vacations. By incorporating social media, MasterCard made what all their marketing research was working toward basically interactive. Parents and families can post pictures on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #OneMoreDay. Along with this the campaign added a sweepstakes that anyone can be entered in to win. By using the hashtag #OneMoreDaySweeps on Twitter or Instagram they are automatically entered to win a trip for 4 worth a $25,000 value to a location of their choice! Not a bad deal right? You can even win from posting a picture from the comfort of your own couch. MasterCard’s various products cater to many different lifestyles that their target markets have. Their main target market for the #OneMoreDay campaign, families and parents, is able to be actively involved in from home or while they are on vacation. MasterCard using multiple platforms to market their service/product shows it to be very effective and their marketing research to be successful. Blog 3: AMA The American Marketing Association

After typing AMA into Google or any search engine for that matter, you can see that there are multiple AMA’s that exist in the world. This includes the American Medical Association, Academy of Model Aeronautics, American Motorcyclist Association and American Management Association. In relation to this Marketing class, the main one to be focused on among all of these AMAs is the American Marketing Association. Established in 1937, The American Marketing Association is a professional association for both larger organizations and individuals looking to bring their knowledge of marketing worldwide through teaching, practice and development. Their principle role is:      

“…to serve as a forum to connect like-minded individuals and foster knowledge sharing, provide resources, tools and training and support marketing practice and thought leadership around the globe.”(American Marketing Association AMA)     

                                                            
The association is currently 30,000 members and growing connecting all those in the marketing field together. The association, from what is told and described through their website, aims to unite all those working in the marketing field to build a community of business professionals. There are many sections to its vastly filled website which as you click on the link you can immediately see how much is offered through the association. Offering many different opportunities, networking and marketing tools it is a large association that appears to have a large presence in the business world. In going through the website, you can see that it really is a large association that has a lot of power within the business world. This is in the massive amounts of networking that the site offers along with the different connections you can make not only with the association but other businesses through it.

This is most likely the reason why the association’s domain name is "www.marketingpower.com" rather than AMA.org. As noted earlier on in this blog entry there is multiple organizations and associations that take on the same abbreviation as the American Marketing Association. By changing the domain name, it allows for the association to differentiate itself from those who share the same domain name. This also allows those who are looking and interested in the association to find the site much more easily when navigating the web. Another reason that the American Marketing Association might have wanted a different domain name is because it reflects more on what the goals of the association are.

The association works in hope of teaching and developing marketing knowledge on not a small but worldwide scale making it its own marketing power. By using “marketing power” rather than “AMA” not only differentiated the site from similar abbreviated associations but gives off a better understanding of the association itself. This domain reflects on the mission and goals of the organization, while also adding a little creativity to the site. The site offers everything from connections to job opportunities, events and training, membership to get access to different networks, publications and much more. The association through all it offers and what it has grown to become in the past seventy plus years has made it exactly what you would call a “marketing power”.

Blog 2: What is Marketing?


Considering this is a class based blog and also focused mainly on the Marketing end of
Business, it would be good to sum up and explain exactly what marketing is. According to McGraw Hill, by definition marketing is:

            “…the activity for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that benefit its customers, the organization, its stakeholders, and society at large.” (Kerin, 5 )

Marketing is how a business, organization or company gets the word out and publicizes their name to not only benefit themselves but those who support them. In relation to this definition, there is similar definition that explains the main goal of marketing well. This definition comes from the American Marketing Association (AMA) which I will cover in future blog posts, so stay tuned! The AMA states,

“Marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large.”(AMA)

There are many different ways that companies go about marketing their product, service or brand. There are four things that marketing requires:

  •   Two or more parties with unsatisfied needs
  •   A desire and ability on their part to be satisfied
  •   A way for the parties to communicate
  •    Something to exchange

A way to satisfy these requirements is to follow a set of guidelines that help direct what specific areas to focus marketing on. These are called the 4 P’s: Product, Price, Promotion and Place. The 4 P’s are a staple in the marketing world that is the basis for the activity to be successful.

Product:
This refers to the actual physical product or service that the company is trying to sell to their target market. This is by making the product what the community and target market wants while trying to figure out how to have that product fit the consumer’s needs. For example, in class we talked about Post It© Highlighter Pens, which satisfied the needs of multiple target markets that could use the convenience of having both a highlighter and post it page markers tied into one product. Target markets could be office workers, students of all ages, and teachers. 


Price:


The pricing is what is in exchange for the product, which varies on both the quality of the product and the amount a customer would be willing to pay. The pricing of this could be people’s investment in Apple products and computers because their protection against viruses has been known to be better quality than that of competitors.

Promotion:

This is how the buyer communicates with consumers, getting the word out there and promoting their product to their target market. This can be seen from ads, commercials, branding, and even product placement such as people in a movie drinking Coca Cola or wearing a certain brand.

Place:

Place refers to where and by what means a product is getting to consumers. This is through what stores a particular product is placed in or location such as a particular area compared to the country as a whole.


These are all components of marketing strategies that different companies and organizations use to market their product or service. Each piece plays a role in what could overall be a successful way to market to the particular target market or community as a whole.

Blog 1: Goals

For this first blogging assignment in Marketing 215-B, we were asked to answer what our academic, personal, and professional goals were to be for this semester. In relation to all three, my main goal would be to not only learn more of the marketing field but also how to apply it to what I hope to do in the future. Having a Business minor I get a glimpse into the business world taking five classes throughout my four years at Saint Mike’s. For academics, I gratefully made Dean’s List the past two semesters. Not only have I accomplished this but I learned a lot in the process which I hope to take away again this semester. Different to my previous two years at Saint Mike’s, I am studying abroad in Granada, Spain where I am excited for both the travelling and academics there.

Professionally I am trying to eventually work in Public Relations, Marketing and Events so being able to take a class in the subject of what I want to take on as a profession I am looking forward to. This past summer I worked as a PR/Marketing intern for a bridal photography company called A Bride’s Day where I worked with social media, social events and weddings. I also got to learn a fair amount about marketing and networking since A Bride’s Day is part of Rhode Island Wedding Group, a bridal industry networking group within the state. It was a great learning experience and gave me a better sense of what I wanted to work toward.  This semester I also took on a smaller internship for Vermont Youth Rugby Association (VYRA) or 802 Rugby which I am looking forward to. I am attending my first meeting tomorrow actually so that will be the start of my internship.

Along with this I am working this summer as a Marketing intern for my cousin’s winery, Newport Vineyards in Middletown, RI.  You can say I got very lucky with the internships I have been able to work! With all these internships, I hope to get experience and learn as much about the field as I can. My hopes are to either work in the wedding industry or the ski industry. Very different areas but I have skied since I was little and would love to work in that industry. After my internship this summer a job in the wedding industry whether it is working public relations, marketing, networking or events would be a great field too.


As for my personal goals for the semester, they are around what my goals are for almost every semester. My main goal is to learn as much as I can in the time that I have. This semester I especially focused on working on my Media Studies, Digital Arts major and Business minor so I am excited to keep studying into more of what I hope to do with my future profession. My other goals include my internship and being on top of my work. I did put a good amount of work on my plate for this semester and one of my goals is to ty to stay on top of it as best I can. Even though it will be a work-heavy semester, it’s the subject material I am interested in and should be one that hopefully I will be able to take a lot away from.
